| Induction loop systems are at the top
of many churches agendas now, after the terms of the Disability
Discrimination Act came into force earlier this month.
The Act, which
you can read here, compels all public buildings to
make “reasonable adjustments” to ensure easy
access for disabled people, and fitting an induction loop
is one of the most effective things a church can do to
make its services accessible. |
 |
Legalities aside, it is important that
your church is seen to be extending a welcome to the hearing
impaired. More and more people in our society suffer some
sort of hearing loss, especially amongst the elderly.
A loop will become a more and more valuable asset as the
years go by.
More information on hearing aid loops can be found in
our "frequently
asked questions"
in the installation section. |
